Common Bonaire and Celair Cooler Parts (With Part Numbers)

Bonaire Dump Valve, Solenoid and Transformer Kit #6001336SP – evaporative cooler part

Bonaire and Celair evaporative coolers share many parts, so a Celair cooler can often take the same pump, solenoid or dump valve as a Bonaire. This guide covers the parts that most often need replacing, with the part numbers to look for.

Safety first: coolers are usually on the roof and run on 240V. Use a safe ladder and roof access, and never work on the cooler with the power on. Any hard-wired electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician or cooler technician.

Find your model first

Bonaire model codes such as VSM60, CP2 or SBB tell you which pads, motor and control board fit. Check the label on the cooler, and see how to find your cooler model and part numbers. Our parts by model pages group the common Bonaire ranges.

Pumps

Bonaire and Celair coolers commonly use Fasco pumps: the JRM28, JRM38 (6050812SP) and JRM50, depending on the cooler size. The Durango 240V pump suits other models. The pump must match the size your cooler takes. See pump sizes explained and Bonaire pumps.

Solenoid valves

Many Bonaire units use a 24VAC 1/2″ solenoid with a bleed, such as the 6051636SP. Some use one without a bleed, like the 0080591SP. The bleed matters, so match it to your old valve. See Bonaire solenoid valves.

Dump valves and water management

Bonaire coolers flush salty water with a dump valve, Aquamiser or H2O Optimiser system. Common parts include the dump valve drain assembly (6001336SP), the Aquamiser dump valve kit, the Aquamiser valve seal and H2O Optimiser drain valve. There’s also a dump valve, solenoid and transformer kit. See dump valves vs drain valves.

Motors, capacitors and fan collets

Bonaire uses Fasco motors in 600W, 750W and 950W sizes (6051655SP, 6051675SP, 6051685SP) and the ImPress EC inverter motor on Pinnacle units. A fan that hums but won’t start often just needs a new 25uF capacitor. See capacitor or motor? and Bonaire motors and capacitors.

Celdek filter pads

Bonaire Celdek pads are sized by model: small for VSS50–55, medium for VSM60–65, large for VSM75 and VSL70–75, plus a set for VSM45, VSM52 and VSM57. Replace the clips and washers at the same time. See cooler filter pads and when to replace pads.

Controllers and control boards

Bonaire controllers include the Navigator hardwired and Navigator wireless controllers and the slimline wall controller. Some older units can be upgraded with a PCB conversion kit. The controller and control board must be compatible, so check before buying. See Bonaire controllers and accessories.
